Hydrangea Festival

Hydrangea Festival

Friday, July 5, 2024 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Cape Cod Hydrangea Fest, and Cape Cod Hydrangea Society has arranged ten special garden tours, featuring members’ gardens from Woods Hole to East Orleans. The Fest begins on Friday, July 5, and CCHS tours start the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7, with three fabulous gardens open both days. These gardens include ‘The Hydrangea Guy’ Mal Condon’s spectacular garden in Yarmouth Port; ‘Strictly Hydrangeas’ owner Linda Coven’s gorgeous garden in W. Yarmouth; and Rick Murray’s on scenic Keveney Lane in Cummaquid. Other CCHS gardens are open throughout the week, and the following weekend. CCHS notecards, posters, and calendars are sold at the various gardens. Additional activities include a flute quintet playing at the Condon garden on Sunday, July 7, at both 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; and local artists painting in several CCHS gardens.

In addition to CCHS, other charities in various towns benefit from garden tour proceeds. Several nurseries and home centers also offer promotions and garden talks during the Fest, particularly Hyannis Country Garden.

Garden tours are $5 per person for each garden. All gardens are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on specified days, rain or shine. For more information about all CCHS participating gardens, visit www.capecodhydrangeasociety.org, and to view the Cape-wide Fest calendar, visit www.capecodchamber.org.
