Description
Sponsored by the Dennis Historical Society, this can’t-miss annual outdoor-indoor event will feature costumed interpreters and reenactors who will exhibit crafts and skills that were ever-present in the 1700s. The Manse is located at 61 Whig Street in Dennis Village, just off Route 6A. As always, admission is free to this family-friendly educational event, with donations gratefully accepted.
This year’s event will be special in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American revolution featuring a 7-piece band playing music of the times from 11am-12:30pm. The Yarmouth Militia will be there and will be firing off a cannon at noon along with showcasing their muskets and regalia. There will be demonstrations in wood working, blacksmithing and metal engraving. Kids crafts, historical clothing, and Maritime artifacts will be on display. Books on Dennis history will be available for purchase. Cookies and cider will be also served.
